ROCKS – NATURE – SPORT
ROCKS – NATURE – SPORT is an inseparable part of our lives, which is why we were pleased to support this wonderful event. The 5th edition of the Run through the Súľov Rocks showed us, in today’s chaotic world, the power of human solidarity in pursuing a common goal while delivering outstanding performances. Beautiful weather accompanied 974 runners from 8 countries, while 175 children also competed around the square in Súľov.
“Rainbow in the Heart” Charity Event for People with Intellectual Disabilities
The 8th edition of the charity cultural event called “Rainbow in the Heart” welcomed approximately 500 children with intellectual and physical disabilities from 24 institutions and care facilities in Western Slovakia and the Trenčín Region. Major attractions for all participants included KRISTÍNA, the Prešov-based band AKUSTIKA, the PETER BIČ PROJECT band, and the group STO MÚCH. The entire event was hosted by the excellent presenter ANDREJ BIČAN. Our financial support was used to provide transportation for participants with intellectual disabilities, performers and volunteers, as well as for the transport, installation and operation of sound and lighting equipment and the technical support of the charity concert.
Historical Apiary at Trenčín Castle
The Beekeeping Ecological Association of Slovakia prepared a beekeeping and environmental project for the public based on the principle of sustainable education, primarily aimed at the younger generation. The project’s purpose is to bring young people closer to nature and connect the tradition of beekeeping as a craft with nature-friendly beekeeping practices and the life of bees in today’s changing environmental conditions. We were delighted to support this project promoting beekeeping. We look forward to seeing bee colonies at Trenčín Castle housed in beautiful wooden hives.
Anniversary Concert of the Trenčín Foundation
We were pleased to support the charity concert “Twenty Years of Giving”. It was a social evening celebrating philanthropy and charitable activities featuring well-known personalities such as Martin Babjak, Peter Lipa, Milo Kráľ Band, Janette Štefánková, Pavol Seriš, Vlado Kulíšek and Adrián Ohrádek, together with representatives of community life in Trenčín, including the Quartet of the Chamber Orchestra of the City of Trenčín, MS Dance Studio, Aurelius Q, Krajka, the Trenčín Municipal Theatre and Born To Trick.
Supporting SVETIELKO NÁDEJE (LIGHT OF HOPE)
The work carried out by the civic association SVETIELKO NÁDEJE is admirable and immensely valuable. The organisation’s mission is to improve the quality of life of children suffering from cancer and incurable illnesses during hospitalisation and at home, particularly through patient transportation, palliative care, wish fulfilment and family support. At the same time, the organisation strives to improve standards of diagnosis and treatment, support the professional development of healthcare workers and promote new initiatives benefiting sick children and adolescents. Our company’s financial donation is only a small contribution to the great work carried out by this important organisation.
Activities of the Primary School in Trenčianska Turná
Traditions are an inseparable part of our lives and run through the veins of each of us. We appreciate everyone who strives to preserve and pass on the legacy of our ancestors. The children's folklore ensemble ŠTVORLÍSTOK focuses on the authentic folklore of its village and the surrounding region. We are pleased to support, at least financially, the effort to bring the tradition of dance into the lives of younger generations.
We Are Part of Our Community
Trenčianska Turná celebrated the 750th anniversary of its first written mention. The rich programme for residents lasted three days and was accompanied by beautiful weather. The celebrations were enhanced by the folklore groups Vršatec and Sokoly. Entertainment was provided by singer Števo Hruštinec, the band Lomnické Čháve and Sima Martausová. The programme also featured local folklorists, accordion players and local musicians. We were delighted to support these exceptional days, which left lasting memories for the local community.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
The development of educational facilities for our children is extremely important in today’s fast-paced world. Schools do not always have sufficient resources for teaching aids or improving their surroundings. For several years, the Primary School and Kindergarten in Trenčianska Turná has been supported through the allocation of 2% of income tax donations. This year, the school also benefited from a new staircase.
Education in Slovakia
The non-profit organisation Pansophia, which provides public-benefit services, was established to disseminate knowledge and information from all fields of natural sciences and humanities to both the general public and professionals, with a particular focus on children and young people.
Its aim is to bridge the gaps between scientific disciplines and avoid dividing knowledge into biological, geological, mathematical or physical categories. We were pleased to support the education of young scientists.
Social Services Home
The Social Services Home in Adamovské Kochanovce is located in the village of Adamovské Kochanovce. To improve the quality of life of its residents, we donated an air purifier. The sheltered workshop, which is part of the facility, also received supplies for soap production. And one of our colleagues baked delicious homemade cakes as well. :)
