TILE INSTALLATION
- GLUING OF TILES
The substrate for gluing must be dry, clean, cohesive and firm. In the case of excessively absorbent surface, we recommend treating the substrate with a primer. Depending on the substrate, the correct adhesive grout should be selected. For common surfaces, we recommend flexible glue C2TE or C2TE S1. Apply the glue with a notched trowel to the substrate. We recommend slightly moistening the back of the tile but not immersing it. Apply a thin layer of glue to the tile and push it into the substrate, gently tap it with a hammer to the final position.
- GROUTING
The gap between the tiles (sandstone and brick) should be approximately 2 cm. Before grouting the tiles, the gap must be dry and clean.
- HYDROFOBIZATION
For exterior HYDROFOBIZATION, we recommend using a colourless hydrophobic silicone coating. It is recommended to paint the interior with diluted universal dispersion for building mixtures. After this adjustment, the colours of the tiles come to life and the abrasions from packaging will disappear! Contact us for more information.
- CUTTING
Tiles can be easily cut with a standard circular saw for concrete.
- EFFLORESCENCE
Due to excessive moisture, white spots may appear on the surface, which is called efflorescence. Technically, it cannot be prevented. The efflorescence does not affect performance.
- DIFFERENCES IN COLOR
The tiles are made of natural materials that have minor colour differences. There may be a colour difference during manufacture. For these reasons, we cannot guarantee indifferences in shades of colour. We, therefore, recommend that you open more packages and take each one in turn. This avoids possible unwanted patterns and enhances the natural feeling.
- DIMENSIONAL DEVIATIONS
Due to the exact imitation of chipped and drawn stone, the dimensions have a specifically allowed tolerance as with a natural stone.
